Contact Improvisation in South Africa
Regular jams and workshops take place in Cape Town (facilitated by Mpho Masilela) and at the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department (facilitated by Samantha Pienaar and Lanon Prigge).
Training to become a contact improvisation facilitator in South Africa
Head Over Heels is a Cape Town-based company that offers intensive twice-yearly training, and ongoing administrative and marketing support, to a select group of individuals interested in facilitating contact improvisation and theme-based improvisation classes and workshops to schools, businesses and the general public. Head Over Heels was recently invited to participate in the Western Cape Schools' Festival at Artscape in Cape Town and offered workshops and a lecture-demonstration on contact improvisation to over 500 pupils.
